Why Yoga, Meditation and fitness for Veterans?
Military service often places significant demands on both the body and mind. Many veterans experience chronic stress, disrupted sleep, physical pain, injuries, or challenges adjusting to life after service. Yoga and meditation offer practical tools that can help support overall health and well-being.

Research has shown that yoga and meditation may help reduce stress, improve sleep quality, increase flexibility and strength, support balance and mobility, and promote emotional resilience. These practices also encourage greater awareness of the breath and body, helping participants develop skills to manage stress and improve self-regulation in everyday life.

Our veteran programs are designed to be accessible and adaptable for all abilities and experience levels. No previous yoga or meditation experience is required. Whether you are looking to improve physical fitness, reduce stress, connect with other veterans, or simply find a few moments of calm in your day, these practices provide a supportive and welcoming place to begin.
Wise Warriors Yoga at the Farm
Wise Warrior Yoga is an accessible and supportive yoga program for veterans held at Wisdom Farm. Classes focus on mindful movement, breathwork, stress reduction, and community connection in a relaxed outdoor setting by the pond, with barn classes during inclement weather. All levels and abilities are welcome.

Heroes Harvest
​Heroes Harvest is a community gardening program for veterans and caregivers held at Wisdom Farm beginning June 4th from 5–6 PM, just before Wise Warrior Yoga. Participants come together to plant and care for a community garden while enjoying time outdoors on the beautiful grounds of the farm. This program offers an opportunity to connect, work with the earth, reduce stress, and build community in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Stable Fists
Stable Fists is a shadow boxing program held at Wisdom Farm on Thursdays at 5:30 PM beginning June 4th. Designed to support focus, fitness, coordination, and stress relief, this engaging program encourages both physical movement and cognitive engagement in a supportive community environment. All experience levels are welcome.

Veteran Yoga At The Studio
Veteran Yoga at Satya Yoga begins October 1st and will be held every Saturday at 11:30 AM through June (2027), when classes transition back outdoors to Wisdom Farm for the summer season. This accessible and supportive class focuses on mindful movement, mobility, breathwork, stress reduction, and community connection. Classes are welcoming to all levels and designed to meet participants where they are.
