There are many reasons to hire a personal trainer. The main reason PERSONAL, we will focus on your goals, whatever they may be. Goals can range from making it easier to get out of the car, carrying more grocery bags, running your first 5K, half marathon, full marathon, recovering from an injury,  strengthening your bones, or just overall good health. The goals are endless, and with a personal trainer, the program is designed for you.

Health Coaching

Looking for support to achieve your health and wellness goals? Not sure if you are ready to make those lifestyle changes you've been thinking about for a long time? Tired of jumping from one diet to another and finding no sustainable success? Dislike exercise? Do you think you have to torture yourself to be fit and healthy?

More Benefits of Personal Training

How about VARIETY? Personal trainers are experts in creating fun, creative ways to help you achieve your goal. Finding out what you like to do helps the trainer find different exercises to keep you moving, happy, and having a good time. For example, if you dislike riding a bike, sending you off to spin class or putting you on a bike (sometimes we have to for assessments and tests...) for cardio will not work.

Another reason we don't often think about is ACCOUNTABILITY. Now I'm not talking about having someone berate and yell at you to motivate you (I am not that person). But, if you have paid for a service and know that that trainer is waiting there for you and created an exercise plan just for you, it's much harder to play hooky, which keeps you moving in the right direction to achieve your goal goals.

SMART GOALS (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound). Maybe you have a goal to run a marathon, a great goal; however, you have never run a day in your life. A personal trainer will help you break down this big goal into smaller achievable goals that will get you to the starting line of that marathon.  

We will start with a consultation and some fitness tests to track your progress and then come up with a plan together.  The days you are not with your trainer are also important; we will develop a plan for your "not training days" to keep you motivated and moving.

Each plan will be different based on the client's needs, some folks have a gym they belong to or a home gym, peloton, or take spinning classes, and we want to incorporate those things into your plan. Sessions can be in-person or over Zoom/google meets.
