Janu Basti - Janu means knee, and Basti means to hold (or container). Janu Basti is a treatment to support knee health. A dough ring is placed around the knee joint, which adheres (gently), and warm herbal oil is set in the ring and covers the knee.
Janu Basti is beneficial for most knee concerns and is delightful support for ongoing medical treatments to the knee. Osteoarthritis of the knee, IT-band syndrome, patella-femoral syndrome, runners knee, meniscus tears, ligament tears, bursitis, tendonitis, stiffness, and general knee pain.
This is a simple, relaxing procedure, which takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes. Please wear (or bring with you to change into) an old pair of shorts that you won't mind getting oil on, it can be a little messy with the oil from time to time. Feel free to bring earbuds to play soothing music or meditations (no podcasts, or heavy metal, lol) this should be a relaxing experience, even an eye mask if you would like.
The oil will absorb into your skin lubricating the joint (and leaving your skin oh so soft) and the warmth of the oil helps to soothe the aches and pains. The oils I use are Banyan botanicals Mahanaryan Oil and Sesame Oil. Please click on each oil to check the ingredients to make sure you are not allergic.

Kati Basti - Kati means back (lower back) and Basti means to hold (or container). Kati basti is a treatment to support back health, A dough ring is placed over the most affected area and warm herbal oil is set in the ring. The oil absorbs into the skin, muscles relaxing and calming the low back.
This treatment is used to support sciatic pain, help improve stiffness and movement, enhance blood supply, reduce swelling, and completely destressing the body. It is a passive, non-intrusive treatment and safe for everybody.
This is a simple relaxing procedure and takes about 30 to 40 minutes. Please wear a loose-fitting old shirt/tee-shirt (oil may get on your shirt). Feel free to bring earbuds if you would like to listen to relaxing music or sounds, no need for any eye covering since you will be lying on your stomach.
Please click on the oils below to make sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients. I use Banyan Botanicals Mahanaryan oil and Sesame Oil.
